Lesson: This lesson shows that how to add animation in a model and make the project.

Situation:
Complete model of three-dimensional is a huge project, including drawing, modeling, bone, rigging, texture, so that it could add every animation for models.
Thanks for technology, now some platforms offer modular free services, so you can save lots of time and costs. This time we will show how to make model of animation step by step.
The theme is Christmas this time, so find a Santa Claus which can be downloaded at model platform. Checking its copyright to make sure that creation could using.

1. Download File

Download OBJ file, it would be a zip file. After unzipped, there is a source which you could see the second file “Santa-new.zip” by opening it.

2.Making model

Making model platform is Mixamo(https://www.mixamo.com ), which is an animation making platform website from Adobe. If there is no account, you could register one.

There is a person model in default. Click “Upload character “on the right.

There is a limitation of file format in platform: FBX, OBJ.

If your character is not your file format, please use Blender to transform or other transforming tools. But every time transforming, there is a risk by losing material or model damaged. So it’s better that you get model of no-transforming file.

3.Boning

After uploading Santa-new.zip, turn the model to the front.

After turning to the front, you can click “next”.

Putting boning location referring as the image on the right. So put the circle on the right position.

Release its hands and let AI automatically to deal it.

Finish.

4. Choose appropriate animation

There has modular animation already. Choose appropriate one to the model.

Here we make a falling down Santa Claus. Search “fall flat”.

Click “Download” on the right to get fbx file.

5. Import to MAKAR editor

Add a space recognition.
Notice: after MAKAR v3.4 you must choose category to be published.

Import Fall flat model to add material.

Scale Santa Claus to appropriate size.
Rotate Y to 180°to make it on the front. Edit material properties to “Matte”.

6. Decorate the environment and publish it
