NTUT’s “Base of talent-training of Wood Art Industries” imports AR training system

Under support of Job Ready Skills Program, held by Ministry of Education, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) establishes “Base of talent-training of Wood Art Industries”, collaborating with Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, Tungnan University, and St. John's University.  Vice President Lai Ching-te attended the opening ceremony on September 8; he gave praise to the basis and hope NTUT to continue cultivating talent of wood art industry.

Making automated production line of Industry 4.0 and Digital Fabrication is one of essential training programs of this base of talent-training of wooden art industries.  The base imports AR and VR technologies, such as AR auxiliary system, furniture- choosing and function simulation with VRTech, from which will support students gain knowledge and experience on the production procedure, and will finally gain competiveness and creativity of Taiwan's wood art industry.
 
Dr. Sea-fue Wang,  NTUT President said that “Base of talent-training of Wooden Art Industries” is the first wooden art talent training base in Taiwan which provide with AR/ VRTech, Automated Guided Vehicle System and mechanical arm etc. for initial trainings. It will become the fully automated icon in Wood Art Industries.
